Experimental Study of Rock-like Materials with Two Unequal Parallel Preexisting Fissures under Uniaxial Compression

Fissures substantially impact the engineering stability of rock masses, making research on masses with preexisting fissures essential for activities. The development specimens different fissure types was examined in this study. Three can be broadly categorized: few fissures, multiple and other flaws. Uniaxial compression tests two unequal lengths were conducted, influence angle, distance between length peak strength coalescence mode analyzed. A large significantly influenced coalescence, uniaxial compressive (UCS) values rock-like materials decreased. In contrast, increasing long crack propagation more extensively case a fissure. angle distances had negligible effect UCS materials. However, length, short subject to coalescence.
